What is Aromatherapy?
The term “aromatherapy” applies to a range of treatments involving the use of essential oils. These are oils extracted from plants, resins, woods, leaves, flowers and the rinds of citrus fruits.
Each essential oil has specific therapeutic properties which can be used in massage, when bathing, in lotions and in oil burners. Whether used singly or in combinations, their fragrances can ease anxiety and promote relaxation, or stimulate and rejuvenate.
At Carleton Treatment Centre aromatherapy treatments are carried out by Registered Aromatherapist Kate Whittaker. A wide range of treatments, and the inherent versatility of essential oils, provide a flexible service that will meet your specific needs.
Aromatherapy is an effective and natural way of maintaining good health, dealing with everyday stresses and strains and helping to treat various ailments.
